High Precision Algorithm Research of Flight Arrival Time Estimation based on Irregular Geo-Grid

摘要
Flight arrival time is of great importance for airport department of operation and ground service. Gates can be assigned and adjusted based on precise arrival time of aircrafts. At the same time, accurate arrival time can cut down waiting time greatly for follow-me vehicles, cleaning staffs, and food vehicles. This paper proposed three estimation methods, respectively corridor-passed approaching flight data reference algorithm, algorithm on the basis of square geo-grid, and algorithm based on irregular geo-grid. Lots of experiment work has been approached with these algorithms. Algorithm based on irregular geo-grid have been approved to be of highest efficiency and is most accurate. The software based on this algorithm has been developed and applied in Baiyun airport, Xianyang Airport, Taoxian Airport, etc. The system is proved to be most effective.
