摘要
This study aimed at investigating the relationship between innovative leadership strategies and sustainability of secondary education in Cross River State. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested in the study. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The study population comprised all the principals in the 288 public secondary schools in Cross River State. The 288 principals in the 288 public secondary schools in the state were used as sample for the study. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled "Innovative Leadership Strategies and Sustainability of Secondary Education Questionnaire (ILSSSEQ). The questionnaire was subjected to reliability test and was found reliable at 0.72 and 0.74 r-values. Data collected were organized using descriptive statistics (Mean and Standard Deviation), while the analysis was done using Pearson product moment correlation statistics (r). The result of the study revealed that design thinking, system thinking, participatory management and transparency management have significant relationship with sustainability of secondary education in Cross River State. Based on this result, it was recommended that design thinking, system thinking, participatory management and transparency management should be adopted in the secondary system as innovative strategies to fast track the sustainability of secondary education in Cross River State, as well as the effective and efficient attainment of its goals and objectives in the state.
