Raman and infrared spectra of sodium p-nitrophenolate dihydrate (NPNa), [Na(C6H4NO3)]•2H2O

摘要
Sodium p-nitrophenolate dihydrate (NPNa), a new semiorganic non-linear optical crystal, was grown by slow evaporation. The Raman spectra were measured at room and at low temperature. The infrared transmittance spectra were also measured in the 400-4000 cm(-1) wave number range at room temperature. The spectral bands are compared with those of parent compounds as well as with the characteristic frequencies of the organic group, in order to propose a tentative assignment of the observed modes.
