摘要
Climate change represents a big challenge in water supply. Fortunately, specialized, and up-to-date knowledge as well as innovative processes are available for the development of efficient and sustainable solutions to meet those challenges. To bring solution approaches in practical and comprehensive application, a transfer of knowledge from applied sciences to practice is required. The need for action is especially high and respective activities urgently required. Decisions have to be made, that are associated with large investments and that will have a long-lasting effect. These decisions have to be supported by all associated partners and responsible ones. Those decisions must be taken now, delays are not allowed. © 2021, Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature.
