摘要
This article shows the use of a controller to increase the damping of inter-area oscillatory modes using remote measurements provided by the Synchrophasor Measurement Units. The InterArea Mode Controller scheme presented responds to a supplementary wide area control, hierarchical and centralized that is designed and parameterized using the particle swarm optimization tool. The results show that the proposed scheme can improve the damping for those cases where conventional controllers are not enough.
