摘要
The application of the Stern-Geary equation in the determination of steel corrosion rates in reinforced concrete often implies the acceptance of certain assumptions. When a steady state is not reached in D.C. measurements it is accepted that the determinations made after a certain polarization lime provide a very approximate value for polarization resistance. In A.C. measurements it is not unusual to resort to hazardous extrapolations of the impedance data. This paper examines the potential errors introduced by such practices.
