摘要
We have performed a cross-sectional study in which 55 diabetic adolescents and their families agreed to participate. The relationship among sociodemographic factors, general family features. specific support to the disease problems, adolescents' well-being and metabolic control have been analyzed. Gender and family cohesion, followed by specific support to the disease both by family and friends. have proved best allies to their well-being. No factor shows an association with metabolic control. In our sample, we conclude that adolescents emotional well-being is dependent on personal and environmental factors, and not on glycemic control.
