The H-5 nucleus is investigated in the generator coordinate method, using H-3+n+n three-cluster wave functions. The model is tested with the H-3+n and He-3+p properties which agree fairly well with the experimental data. The H-5 energy is found to be E approximate to 3 MeV with respect to the H-3+n+n threshold, and the neutron width is Gamma (n) approximate to 1-2 MeV or Gamma (n) approximate to 1-4 MeV, according to the nucleon-nucleon interaction. We therefore suggest that the H-5 lifetime should be larger than the H-4 lifetime (Gamma (n) approximate to 5-6 MeV).
