摘要：
An overview on the lean gases for lime burning with regenerative kilns is given. The basic criteria are the calorific value of the gas, flame velocity, flame shape, stability and temperature. The practical part is focused on the examination of two lime burning plants in India and Turkey in respect of the lean gaseous fuel suitability, and its impact on product quality. While one regenerative kiln is rated at 330 tpd capacity and fired with COREX(R) gas from a smelting reduction process, the other kiln is rated at 260 tpd and fired with coke oven gas.
