摘要
In autoimmune diseases the tissues are destroyed by autoreactive cells and antibodies. The morbidity in autoimmune diseases is increasing and they affect more and more young adults and children. Autoimmune diseases may be systemic or limited to one organ, some of them may cause skin symptoms. The pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases has not been completely elucidated. Among possible causes of autoimmune reactions, viral infections are often noted. Lack of causal treatment, chronicity of autoimmune diseases and their negative impact on patients' lives make scientist search for pathogenetic factors, with hope for finding better treatment options or ways of preventing those diseases. In this article we analized literature regarding the connection of viral infections with development and natural course of selected autoimmune skin diseases.
