In this paper, a three phase single-stage differential boost inverter (DBI) topology has been analyzed to quantify the performance of the proposed controller. DBI offers certain advantages like small structure, reduced power switches, and good buck boost ability. A comprehensive double loop controller has been proposed to integrate the 3-phi DBI to the grid. Perturb & Observe (P&O) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm has been implemented to get the DC link voltage reference followed by a synchronous rotating reference frame based Proportional Integral (PI) controller. A cascaded control loop for voltage tracking performance and inductor current control of 3-phi DBI have been implemented. The topology with the proposed control algorithm has been verified both in MATLAB Simulink and experimentally by developing a hardware prototype.
