摘要
Optical absorption and emission spectra of EU3+/CdSe nanocrystallites and Eu3+ in sol-gel silica glass samples are being carried out. From the measured intensities of various absorption bands and applying thermal correction, the three Judd-Ofelt parameters Omega(2), Omega(4) and Omega(6) are evaluated for these glasses. From this theory, various radiative properties like transition probability A, branching ratio beta, the radiative lifetime tau(R), absorption cross-section sigma(a) and the emission cross-section sigma(E) for various levels of these glasses are determined.
