Synthesis and crystal structure of a novel coordination polymer, {[Cd2(N2H4)6][Cd(N2H4)3](NO3)6}n, based on the μ-bridging mode of hydrazine

摘要
Micro dimensional hexagonal prisms of {[Cd-2(N2H4)(6)][Cd(N2H4)(3)](NO3)(6)}(n) were crystallized in trigonal crystal system with space group of P31c. The crystal structure shows the compound to be comprised of linear chains of cadmium atoms octahedrally coordinated by six bridging N2H4 ligands. The compound was characterized by a number of techniques including X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), FT-IR, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The UV-Vis absorption spectrum shows a wide transparency range suggesting that the compound may be a prospective candidate for nonlinear optical applications. (C) 2021 Published by Elsevier B.V.
