摘要
The study aimed to identify the motivational style adopted by teachers of Physical Education School, only with regard to autonomy. The research was a descriptive exploratory with the participation of 16 teachers working in public schools in Cambe, north of Parana. Data were collected via the instrument "Problems in Schools", composed of eight vignettes that represent common scenarios for schools followed by four statements to be assessed on a Likert scale. Each of the four-response situations corresponds to a motivational style adopted, ranging from highly controlling to highly autonomy. The results showed that the promoter highly motivational style of autonomy was the most frequently adopted by the participants and may therefore represent a teaching practice in physical education to promote effective learning and an effective change in the behavior of students.
