摘要
An antiproton beam can be polarized in a storage ring by spin-dependent interaction with an internal polarized gas target. This method requires long beam and polarization lifetimes to ensure acceptable beam intensity with a high degree of beam polarization. In this paper relevant properties and limitations of storage rings are discussed and some results from experiments at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY presented.
