摘要
A novel liquid membrane system called multi-dropped liquid membrane (MDLM) is utilized for the transportation of B(III) ions from aqueous solutions. Parameters (ligand concentration, temperature, acceptor phase concentration) that affect the extraction of B(III) ions between donor and acceptor phases, were investigated by using the MDLM technique. Graphs of change of B(III) ions concentration in three phases, graphs of extraction kinetics were created, and kinetic calculations of extraction were performed for the consecutive reactions. Using the maximum membrane output rates of the interphase transport of B(III) ions, the activation energy was calculated as 3.99 kcal/mol. It has been found that the transport of boron ions is diffusion controlled and it can be extracted with high efficiency in a shorter time by the MDLM system. The experimental results suggest that removing B(III) ions from aqueous solution can be successfully accomplished by MDLM system. Point of this study isn't just to emphasize B(III) ion transport, but also to universalize the recently structured MDLM system and create avenues for researchers to follow.
