Extraction of lanthanide(III) nitrates with solutions of trialkylmethylammonium di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate in toluene

摘要
A study was made of extraction of lanthanide(III) (from lanthanum to holmium) nitrates by solutions of trialkylmethylammonium di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate in toluene at T = 298.15 K and pH 2. The extraction isotherms were analyzed assuming formation of two different extraction complexes (R4N)(3)[Ln(NO3)(3)A(3)] and (R4N)(2)[Ln(NO3)(3)A(2)] in the organic phase. The extraction constants calculated from the experimental results increase in passing from lanthanum to europium and then decrease to holmium.
