摘要
A phase transition occurring with formation of a single Condon domain is considered in metals at quantizing magnetic fields. Formulas for magnetization, susceptibility, and specific heat are derived over the entire range of temperatures and magnetic fields using the Lifshitz-Kosevich-Shoenberg theory. Temperature dependences obtained are of the Landau theory type around the transition into the single-domain state and deviate from it far away from the phase transition. The calculated jump in specific heat in silver at the transition temperature is large enough for measuring.
