摘要
With the continuous development and progress of transportation technology around the world, we are living in an era of close contact between people. The development of transportation technology plays an indispensable role in the progress of human society. However, from foregone literatures, most researches on the effect of transportation are mainly concentrated in the field of economics and sociology, researches about the role of transportation in politics are relatively small. This paper is precisely based on this background, and discusses the role of transportation from the perspective of political science. The study found that the role of transportation is mainly manifested in the following four aspects: First, transportation development is conducive to infiltration of the concept of "state" and encourages ethnic integration. Second, the development of the transportation laid a solid foundation to consolidate the state power and achieve national unity. Thirdly, the continuous improvement of the transportation network has expanded the competition of geopolitics, and played an important role for the change of world political pattern. Fourthly, the development of transportation has created conditions for realizing the national political purpose and strategic planning.
