Inflammation suspected in eye disorders

Eye examinations may provide an inside look at the inflammatory processes thatmight contribute to both eye disease and cardiovascular disease, say researchers studying the link between disorders of the eye and the cardiovascular system. The researchers hope such evidence will help elucidate the mechanisms of these diseases, suggest new diagnostic techniques, and point to potential prevention and treatment strategies.
