摘要
The synchronous coupled wind-wave-surge model was developed and verified in the Linux Beowulf parallel system. It was applied to the storm surge simulation caused by Typhoon Bart (T9918) in the Yatsushiro Sea, Japan. The meso-scale meteorological model (MM5) was used to compute the wind and sea surface pressure condition during typhoon event. The full spectral third-generation wind-wave model (WW3) was employed to simulate wind wave fields including wave breaking stresses defined in the model system in this paper. The coastal ocean model (POM) successfully simulated the current fields of the storm surge event in the Yatsushiro Sea by using the developed coupler to consider a wind-wave-surge interaction. Inclusion of the wave breaking stresses into the coastal ocean model made it possible to produce the extreme maximum surge height, the inner end of the bay, Matsuai, in the extremely shallow water.
