摘要
Enantiomeric separations of several beta-amino alcohol drugs, i.e., phenylephrine, epinephrine, norepinephrine, synephrine, and chlorprenaline were performed by capillary electrophoresis using DM-beta-CD as a chiral selector. Five test solutes were baseline resolved in six minutes. The effects of DM-beta-CD concentration, pH value, ionic strength of the buffer, and the type of beta-CDs on resolution were investigated. The results indicated that DM-beta-CD is suitable for enantiomeric separation of beta-amino alcohols containing a phenyl group on the chiral atom. Enantiorecognition mechanisms for test solutes are also discussed.
