摘要：

This paper describes a faceted user interface agent for searching digital libraries on the WWW. The specific features of this system are the following: a user interface agent for guiding Internet users to build their own queries, helping them to increase the retrieval of relevant documents, learning users' interests, and providing a model for cataloging user keywords in a faceted scheme.
