摘要：

The purpose of the present was to examine the role of socio-demographic variables in conjunction with traditional indices of functioning in the job-placement rates of individuals with mental retardation and severe learning disabilities living in New York City during their first 6 months in an employment programme. The details of the study are discussed and the results are presented.
