The Intimate Diary (ca. 1897) of Unamuno in Memories of childhood and youth, The Christ of Velazquez and San Manuel Bueno, martyr: preliminary considerations

The Diario intimo (ca. 1897) of Miguel de Unamuno, published posthumously, is the reflection of the existential and religious crisis that marked both the life and work of the Basque writer. The topics which appear in this book are intimately bounded to all his later production. This project tries to demonstrate the continued existence of the ideas that sustain this diary in three major works of the Unamuno's path: Recuerdos de ninez y mocedad, El Cristo de Velazquez and San Manuel Bueno, martir.
