Assessment and treatment of children's nightmares: A review

摘要：
Many children experience nightmares, and guidelines for assessment and treatment according to level of severity are found in the literature. Children's nightmares, different from night terrors, may have a slightly different etiology than adults because of developmental issues. Understanding some of the possible causes may be useful in assessment and treatment. Treatment for three categories of nightmares -sporadic, frequent, and persistent are discussed.
