Eigenstates of Bloch electrons in high magnetic field. Magneto-optical properties

In this paper we present the investigation of electron quantum states in lateral semiconductor superlattices subjected to a high magnetic field applied perpendicular to a 2D electron gas plane. The resulting electronic structure is used to study the magneto-optical absorption. The absorption coefficient as a function of frequency for circular polarized waves is calculated for both allowed and forbidden transitions between magnetic subbands attached to different Landau levels.
