摘要
Grid technology is being used to build DartGrid II, a semantic intelligent transportation system (ITS) platform to support resource sharing, service flow management, and cross domain cooperation. The various layers of the multilayer architecture of DartGrid II includes the resource layer, basic service layer, advanced ITS layer, ITS subsystem layer, and ITS application layer. DartGrid II encapsulates all data sources into grid services with uniform interface and communication protocols. Taking full advantage of semantic and grid technologies, the grid services integrate and share data among a broad range of ITS subsystems, departments, and organizations. The data integration and sharing are cross-domain and transparent to end users.
