This paper deals with a class of singular semilinear elliptic equations in R-N where the combined effects of a singular and a sublinear term allow us to establish some existence, symmetry and uniqueness results for positive "ground state" solutions. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
