摘要
The present manuscript deals with fabrication of palm-epoxy hybrid composites (PEHC) by incorporating granite powder (0, 5, 10 and 15 wt %). The thermo physico-mechanical characterization of PEHC has been carried out, which indicate that the inclusion of granite powder as filler showed an encouraging effect on the hardness and impact strength, whereas, a downbeat effect on the tensile as well as flexural strength. The chemical modification of palm stalk fiber enhanced the resistance to wear and tear. It has been found that, chemically treated composites have improved mechanical properties. The surface morphology studied by FESEM-EDX has also shown the inclusion of granite in the PEHC composites.
