An Empirical Study on the Business Ethics of Chinese Students

The research presented in this paper focuses on business ethical decision-making in Chinese undergraduate students. A survey was conducted by using five business ethical scenarios to explore the empirical relationships among demographics and ethical decision-making. Survey results show gender but not age is a significant factor in the determination of ethical conduct and that females are more ethical than males in their perception of business ethical situations. The results also reveal the students' ethical level is improving. This investigation in the hope will provide insight into the nature of, and changes in, ethical decision-making of Chinese students.
