摘要
A study was conducted to understand the mechanism of developing round and plane macro- and microjets under the acoustic-field action and the obtained results were compared with the results of recent such works. The patterns as a result of the smoke visualization of flows were obtained with the help of laser illumination of the jet synchronized with the acoustic-action frequency, which enabled us to obtain new data on the mechanism of the development of jets. The smoke visualization of the flow in the plane laminar jet with a parabolic velocity profile show that, without the acoustic action on the jet, it is subjected to flexural vibration of the sinusoidal type. Under certain conditions related both to the acoustic-action frequency and to the jet velocity, it is possible to observe also triple and even quadruple jets instead of only the bifurcated ones.
