摘要
Steel cleanliness is a wide subject of study for product quality especially for automotive exposed and unexposed grades. Due to increasing demand for interstitial free steels, the refining of steel at the degasser has to be efficient to meet the production requirements; at the same time clean steel practices need not be ignored. In this article the potential issues that affect steel cleanliness and castability of Ti stabilized ultra low carbon (TiSULC) steel grades are discussed with the help of inclusion characterization.
