UV-cured films of epoxy, polyester and urethane oligomers and their applications on Hessian cloth (jute)

摘要
Thin films were prepared under UV radiation from formulations developed with three different types of oligomers: epoxy acrylate, polyester acrylate and urethane acrylate in the presence of a monofunctional monomer (N-vinylpyrrolidone, NVP). Film hardness, gel content and tensile properties (strength and elongation) were studied. The formulated solutions were applied onto hessian cloth (jute material) as a thin coating and cured under UV radiation. The extent of grafting on jute materials, change in tensile properties and water uptake of the coated jute cloth were determined. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
