Input resistance of a hollow cylindrical cavity resonator excited by an electric probe

摘要
This article investigates an input impedance of a cylindrical cavity resonator excited by an electric probe. The input impedance is considered as the superposition of a resistance due to the cavity structure and a impedance across the electric probe terminal. Electric Green's function due to an electric probe are derived. Based on these Green's function, the distribution of electromagnetic fields inside the cavity and the input impedance can be derived. Comparison of theoretical result with measurement is in good agreement.
