摘要
This paper presents experimental results on the use of Cement By-Pass Dust (CBPD) to stabilize desert sands. The stabilizing agent was added in percentages of 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% by weight of total mixture. Compaction, unconfined compression and permeability were performed to study the engineering characteristics of the stabilized material. The results showed CBPD increased the maximum dry density, unconfined compressive strength and reduce the permeability of the sand. The improvement increases with the increase in the percentage of CBPD and the curing time. The results showed that CBPD can be used to improve the strength and reduce the permeability characteristics of the desert sands.
