A reflection on landscape ecology

摘要：
There has been dynamic development in landscape ecology over last 30 years. Troll (1970) considered it a science of the future, joining ecology and geography. Hard (1973) criticizes it as problematic, contradicting the theoretical recognized mission of science. But if landscape ecology is understood as a research field oriented to environmental protection (as asked of it by Hard), incorporating different disciplines with their expertise and discussion of it are not topical. Our landscape ecology has developed this way from its very origins.
