Sapygid females parasitize nests of solitary wasps (Sphecidae and Vespidae) and bees (Apidae, Colletidae and Megachilidae). Here it is reported for the first time the cleptoparasitism on a nest of an orchid bee species, Eufriesea violacea, by the sapygid Huarpea wagneriella. Likewise its host, H. wagneriella specimens underwent diapause for approximately eight to nine months.
