摘要
Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System is an important area of interest for research and development market. Designing of such a UWB Radar System encounters many difficult issues. Some of these issues are inside the root. However, the power specifications of such a UWB Ground Penetrating Radar Systems are dependent to operational environment. In order to design a time domain based UWB GPR System, the antenna gain parameter, transmitter, output power, maximum input power of receiver, the voltage level and wavelet type of picoseconds pulse generator, dynamic range and noise floor of receiver are the parameters which are dependent to directly the attenuation value of the operational environment. Therefore, Link Budget Analysis have critical role while designing the UWB GPR Systems. In this study, a Link Budget Analysis Simulation Program, which is developed in Matlab environment, is introduced in order to analyze the attenuation values of operational area of UWB GPR Systems. Furthermore, these simulation results are confirmed by real measurements and CST-Microwave Studio software. The real data which are taken from experimental environment and the simulated data from CST-Microwave Studio are used for verifications of the developed Link Budget Analysis Simulation Program.
