摘要
Performance and development of traditional Al2O3 ceramics and composite ceramic cutting tool materials with addition of the second phase were described. The composition, additives, strengthening and toughening mechanism, preparation technique, brands, mechanical performance, using environment and cutting performance of Al2O3 system ceramic materials, such as traditional pure Al2O3, Al2O3-carbide, Al2O3-carbide-metal, Al2O3-with additives of nitride and boride, toughening Al2O3, ZrO2 toughening-Al2O3-carbide with MnTi, Al2O3-metal-nitride, Al2O3-metal-carbide, Fe3Al(Fe-Al)/Al2O3, Al2O3-TiC-TiBz-ZrO2, Al2O3-ZrO2-Y2O3 and Al2O3 coating, were outlined.
