摘要：

The large deflection of an elastic cantilever rod pulled by cable is analyzing in terms of the Jacobi elliptical functions. The problem is reduced to solution of a system of two transcendental equations which allow defining six different problems. All these problems are discussions and illustrated with graphs of equilibrium shapes and tables providing some reference numerical values. (C) 2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
