摘要
The aim of this work is to highlight the influence of the cooling speed on the EN AC-42000 alloy after the execution of the T6 treatments (solubilization and artificial aging) and T7 (solubilization, and artificial over-aging) and the subsequent characterization of the metallurgical state obtained by means of mechanical tests: Brinell hardness tests, uniaxial traction test, micrographic analysis and fracture's analysis with scanning electron microscopy on the tensile test specimen following uniaxial traction test. The following procedures of cooling rate after solution quench have been taken into consideration: forced air, nebulized water (shower), and in water tank quench.
