摘要
An exact solution to the problem of scattering of an electromagnetic field incident from an arbitrarily located and arbitrarily oriented dipole by a coated perfect electromagnetic conducting (PEMC) sphere is obtained by expressing the fields associated with the problem in terms of appropriate spherical vector wave functions and a set of expansion coefficients. The coefficients associated with the incident field are known, but the coefficients associated with the fields scattered outside the coated sphere and the fields transmitted inside the coating are unknown. These unknown expansion coefficients are obtained by imposing the relevant boundary conditions at the surface of the sphere and at the interface between the coating and the exterior region. Results are presented as far field patterns and as the ratio of the total power radiated with the dipole in the presence of the coated PEMC sphere, to the power radiated by the dipole alone, when the dipole is located both inside and outside the coating.
