Magnetic evaluation method for stress annealing of ferromagnetic materials

摘要
The residual stress annealing effect of a welding stress concentration specimen made of low alloy steel 16MnR was studied. A low-temperature-anneal was procesed to release residual stress. The specimen was heated to 600°C for 5 hours and then cooled at a rate of 50°C per hour to room temperature. The annealing effect was evaluated before and after annealing by the magnetic method. For comparison purposes, a small hole stress testing method was also employed. Overall, the magnetic stress annealing evaluation results were consistent with small hole stress testing results.
