摘要
Continuous-wave laser (lambda = 532 nm) was irradiated on Ag+-exchanged glass surfaces to precipitate PbS quantum dots (QDs) of various diameters. TEM images combined with element mapping results confirmed the formation and size distribution of PbS QDs. Photoluminescence spectra red-shifted from 1336 nm to 1635 nm with increases in power density and duration of laser irradiation. Three representative irradiation conditions are proposed to realize broadband photoluminescence from one glass rod to cover the 1.3-1.7 mu m communication window.
