Bis[nitratobis(pentafluorobenzoato)(1,10-phenanthrofine-κ2N,N′)manganese(II) dinitratobis(1,10-phenanthroline-κ2N,N′)manganese(II)

The title compound, [Mn(C7F5O2)(NO3)(Cl2H8N2)(2)](2)center dot[Mn(NO3)(2)(C12H8N2)(2)], contains two types of molecules: [Mn(phen)(2)(F5C6COO)(NO3)] (A) and [Mn(phen)(2)(NO3)(2)] (B) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) in a 2:1 ratio. Molecule B possesses a crystallographically imposed twofold rotation axis. The Mn ions in each of the two molecules are coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal packing exhibits pi center dot center dot center dot pi interactions with relatively short distances of 3.6775 (14) and 3.8214 (13) angstrom between the centroids of six-membered rings from neighbouring molecules, and weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot F hydrogen bonds.
