Core double-shell MnFe2O4@rGO@TiO2 superparamagnetic photocatalyst for wastewater treatment under solar light

摘要
Core double-shell MnFe2O4@reduced graphene oxide (rGO)@TiO2 magnetic photocatalyst was synthesized at different calcination temperatures using different initial amounts of graphene oxide. The prepared materials were fully characterized. The performance of the prepared photocatalysts at different preparation conditions was evaluated towards the degradation of ofloxacin under solar light. The results revealed that MnFe2O4@rGO@TiO2 of 50 mg rGO (calcined at 400 degrees C for 2 h) has the best photodegradation rate at natural pH 5.4 of water polluted with ofloxacin. Moreover, MnFe2O4@(50 mg)rGO@TiO2 has a superparamagnetic character with high saturation magnetism (33 emu/g), which makes its recovery from the treated water effluent by magnet is more applicable. The study showed also the availability of reusing the prepared core double-shell photocatalyst, indicating that this photocatalyst is promising for the wastewater treatment process.
