摘要
The risks assessment has a peculiar importance in identifying logistic chains vulnerability and in planning risks management. For container transport of dangerous goods, port terminal transit may have operational risks, such as the lack of special slots in the storage areas that produces delay in handling the containers. The paper deals with modeling the container port terminal as a queuing system and with simulating its activity for evaluating the handling delay risks. The simulation results provide various logistic parameters that are informative for several possible management decisions and it shows that there are critical thresholds where the measures of performance of the system are getting highly depreciated.
