Synergetic Effect of NbH@h-BN on Dehydrogenation of LiBH4

摘要
NbH@h-BN was prepared by mechanically milling h-BN, NbCl5 and LiH, and the samples were detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS). The enhancement of NbH@h-.BN on the dehydrogenation of LiBH4 and its mechanism were investigated. The results showed that the onset dehydroge. nation temperature and the apparent activation energy(Ea) of LiBH4 were reduced to 380 degrees C and 142. 31 kJ/mol respectively after the addition of NbH@h-BN, and the dehydrogenation kinetics of LiBH4 was improved significantly. These remarkable results are largely attributed to the nano NbH particles which were dispersed on the surface of h-BN stably.
