摘要
Interdisciplinary research brings scientists from various disciplines together to share new views and explore solutions to important problems nowadays. However, due to heterogeneity of knowledge and communication problems, the effect of knowledge sharing within UITs (University Interdisciplinary Teams) is not obvious at present. This leads to frustration in the team. There is a huge need to study how social network relations influence the knowledge sharing process in UITs. In this paper, we applied the social network theory to UITs' knowledge sharing process. Based on theory analysis, we conducted an empirical research on a UIT. Using the data, we analyzed the relationship network in knowledge sharing process in UITs using SNA to test the above theory. From the perspectives of weak ties, structural holes and social capital theory, analysis and evaluation on the sharing of knowledge across the case UIT and suggestions are made to improve the effectiveness of knowledge sharing.
